Overnighted at barcelona en route to Vienna. In hindsight we should have spent more time here - a great vibe in this city especially at night. Got in after 8 pm on the bus and with my unerring sense of direction I immediate got us lost by heading in the wrong direction. To my shame I resorted to the navigator (actually I was ordered to by a very tired Jeannie). Found the hotel in the other direction checked in and hit Las Ramblas the promenade area. Even though it was after nine it was jammed with people locals and tourists and it just got livelier and livelier. We walked for ages enjoying it all then stopped for a meal and to watch the people. The photo shows our "small" drinks - you can see why I am so happy!
