Hey there!!
Once again i have left it welll over a week to fill ye in! I finished with my southern tour yesterday where i said goodbye to the group, some of them have stayed over. it was quite sad to have finally waved goodbye to Tom!! The tour went incredibly quickly....all i remember from that tour is when we went to the National Park in Koa Sok, that was truly amazing experiencing the vast rainforest. It rained for hours one particular afternoon so we just sat there, i ventured to go the shops where i was completely drenched in a matter of seconds!I loved that..not so much when i did the overnight safari in the pitch black with the guy referred to as "SEXY MAN" at the Riverside Lodge Resort. Dont ask me why he was referred as that???!!Yes he was called that! What is even worse is that i was thenly one who desperately wanted to do it so much! So off i went at around 8pm with the jungle man, I was petrified the second i entered the jungle! first i saw these "Silver Cat Monkeys" high up in the trees with these piercing orange eyes looking down at you. As we were walking through the jungle, i didnt see one animal even thou i had a torch! its no wonder he is also refereed as the jungle eyes cos these animals were right next to me such as the chamelons, butterflies, frogs...I didnt see anything big, thank god! I thought i would see a roaming wild animal around in the jungle. I also saw a scorpion in one of the holes but the one animal i loved was the beautiful kingfisher. The jungle man threw a stick at it to show that it was real or maybe i was blind as a bat and I couldnt see it!! I think i did well over an hour and a half , i was seriously getting restless plus bored as we would walk for ages not seeing a single thing!! So i asked him, "How long more do we need to do?" to which he answered with delight that we can go for alot more through the jungle. Im like, "NO!!! I want to get out of here now!!"So we headed back then i started to check my clothing and saw a leech climbing up my trousers...then i just FREAKED out!! he had leeches crawling over his feet cos he stupidly wore sandals through the wet jungle. I thankfully wore my big brown boots. I still thought the leeches would seep through!
Finally got to my resort as i hinted big time that we can take a short cut to the resort. I could see similiar cabins in the distance thats when i said, "Can we not go this way?" so got to our resort in mins. if we took the longer route, it would have taken a good 40 mins!! Seconds away from the resort i saw a leech crawling up my thumb, i even freaked out more. Got to my resort where i thanked the lucky stars i got there safely. I was literally traumatised from the experience!!Then Jo said, "You are bleeding near your armpit!!" In short, I got attacked by a leech and i didnt even know!! i was bleeding for AGES....Never again going on a overnight safari with a strange looking guy!!That took place on October the 6th, then we headed for our next destination which was Ko Samui. We only stayed there for a day so we didnt see much apart from the glorious setting of the night life entertainment on this beach. It was so romantic with lights speckling everywhere. I even held a gorgeous little monkey, it clutched onto me like i was his mother. I paid 150 baht just to get 3 photos althou Tom took a good 10 photos of me with the monkey. Got my money's worth! The photos look so good!!
At the mo, Im in Koh Tao.. I can finally spell it. I did a snorkelling day which was a magnificent day seeing the beautiful islands!!Must go now, will be in touch soon!!x
