York We took the scenic route from Edinburgh to York - taking the coastal route. The Scottish Borders region is hilly and wooded. We made a short stop at Holy Island - Lindisfarne - a really interesting island - that is connected to the mainland at lowtide - and the road is completely under water when the tide comes in.
