Travelled on south stopping overnight at the village of Markt Wald , then south again to Krun where we planned four nights. We stopped in Oberamergau en route. A pretty town full of wonderful painted buildings and shops full of wood carvings. The famous Passion Play is performed here every ten years by local people at various locations throughout the village. Travelled on south today to our first stellplatz stop at Ebern, where we planned to stay two nights and take the train into Bamburg the next day. It was a pretty little town where we started to see buildings with the Bavarian style painting on the exterior. The stellplatz was adjacent to a small park where we were able to set up our chairs and enjoy some warm sunshine. Arrived in the land of beer, sausages and sauerkraut. Stayed overnight on site next to tractor museum. Quite rustic but a friendly farmer owner. Managed to get by on gestures and my limited German vocabulary.
