I'm now in the North Island and arrived in Wellington yesterday. The South Island is beautiful and has plenty to do for everyone. Did a couple of wine tours which are great fun, and a 16k walk through Abel Tasman national park which had great views of the sea and outer islands. Went horseriding in Nelson which was fun but a bit hard on the thighs as couldn't sit down or walk for a few days...oh well the wine tour helped with that. Stayed at a lovely hostel in Nelson called Trampers Rest which was basically a home from a home and we had a great time. Its quite expensive here especially trying to do all the activities so the purse is struggling...oh well never mind. Going to the Cook Islands on the 23rd April to soak up the sun sea and sand which will be nice...yipeee. Will spend a few days in Wellington before I head off the Rotorua. Update soon
