Emmett's Adventures
Alright Folks,
Firstly, Happy St. Patricks Day to ya all!
Not a massive amount to report. Ever since we left Salvador (not to our liking) we have been along the coast. Spending no more than 2 days in a place. We have been out snorkeling with the fish, swimming `near` dolphins, and wizzing around on dune buggies.
Salvador was like many South American cities - smelly, dirty, and glad you don't live there. We spent much o four time like we do in most cities, doing emails, our site, and of course, laundry.
We went to a town just up the coast called Macecio and upgraded so that we didnt have to bother with camping. We went out on little boats to go snorkelling on the reef. Now when i say reef, think aload of rocks in the sea, no pretty corel. And when i say snorkel, think a face mask and no mouth piece. There was a FEW mouth pieces that people were expected to share!!! We just had a bit of a swim rather than catching some disease. Sharlene got a breade in her hair, just the one though. I decided that it had been tôo long since i got sun burnt and so went about burning my skin again.
From there we went to Praia da Pipa. It is a cool little town with a great vibe and loads of great restaurants. We wantedtogo surfing there and swim with dolphins. The surf was too small and the dolphins were on a break when we went out. We did get to swim NEAR them, about 50m away. It was fairly cool and a good taster of what swimming with them would be like. Theboat trip out was a bit bumpy and Sharlene did not feel the best by the end. She did see more Dolphins than me though!
We spent a couple of days there and just hung out and eat some nice food.
We are now in Canoa Quebrada and about to leave for Sete Cuidades tomorrow. We have been here three days and again have really just hung out and relaxed. Which to be honest is exactly what we wanted after all the messing about of the last part of the tour. We went out on a dune buggy today and visited some old fishing villages and climed red hot dunes and swam in nice warm waters.
Although i am moaning a bit we are enjoying ourselves much more now. There is stuff to look forward to and we are planning on leaving the trip for two weeks to do loads of things we want to do rather than more ruins, churchs, and bloody colonial towns. Anyway, that is news for another time.
I'mo ff to have a drink, just the one mind, cause this computer is really annoying me - the space bar only works half the time!
We are both in good health and hope allof you are aswell. Thanks for all the messages and we will write again soon.
Unitl next time Em & S.
