Emmett's Adventures
Alright Folks,
We are now in Banos, south of Quito and the internet cafe is very slow so this is going to be for all of Equador.
After much delays with our flight (never go to Madrid or fly with Iberia) we got into Quito over a day late. Our hotel was basic but clean. You can see the great views from our room in the pics section.
So far we have been canyoning, bridgeswinging, whitewater rafting, spent two days in the Amazon Rainforest, found a Trantula in our room, seen the Equatorial line (both of them), been bitten loads, met two Shamens, floated down the river Napo on inner tubes of truck wheels, and met loads of cool poeple and a few plonkers all in six days.
Sharlene is now known as the bravest person on the tour as she had no problems thowing herself off a bridge while the rest of us were scared out of our wits. Only 5 out of 28 did it. I hated it and found no fun in it, the feeling of falling to your possible death and than having the harness crushing certain parts of your body is NOT fun.
The Rainforest was great amd we experienced loads of great things. We have been very tired with all the activities and have not lasted past 11pm. I haven't been able to drink more than two beers due to tiredness. But we are having a relaxing day today with only a three hour volcano walk to do!!
We are both having a great time and thanks loads for the messages. Hope you are all in good health. By the way, the new house looks great (Paul and Faith), i am sure i will be able to cook up a storm or two in that kitchen.
Until next time, Em & S.
