Emma's Travels
Just arrived in Byron Bay, have travelled 850km since Sydney. Yesterday we stopped at rainbow beach for a BBQ, also went to a Koala hospital, and then pased through Coffs Harbour before arriving at surf camp at Arrawarra beach. Had a surf lesson this morning which was really good fun, and I even managed to stand up on the board, and I have photographic evidence! We then headed up to Byron Bay which is apparently the most easternly point of Oz. Staying here for a few days, not much planned yet except snorkelling with turtles. The weather is a bit better up here but it did rain before we surfed this morning and it looks pretty cloudy here at the moment!

Nan & Gdad Hi, Emma It was great to talk to you via the telephone at the weekend, though we did miss seeing you in person! It was good to call in at the farm and meet up with Hugo who is a real time-waster he is so gorgeous. We arrived home on Sunday to find our kitchen done (we have had a new one) and we are very pleased with it. Grandad is busy tiling various places and I am busy putting everything in cupboards - we do have more space than before which is good. Glad you were able to speak to Tilly Smith and hope her recommendations will be useful. Carry on having fun. Lots of love, Nan & Gdadxxx

Emma The sun is out, spent yesterday on the beach, snorkelling this morning. Glad your kitchen is all done, you will have to send me a photo of it! Thanks very much for getting me Tilly Smiths phone number aswell. Still not sure what to do because it will be soooo hot up there but looking at hostel reviews, they just generally seem to be nicer up in bowen. Think we will look at hostels a bit further down south, and if they are horrible just go and put up with it. I guess it wont be so bad if we can work in the sheds packing instead of picking! We shall see.... xxxxxxx
