Wednesday 12th February
Our last day in Sydney! :(
So today we had to check out of our gorgeous bundeena b&b and head off with our backpacks on to manly! I felt sad leaving bundeena as it was so beautiful and our room was just gorgeous (since found out we were staying in the honeymoon suite! No wonder it was so nice!). The man and lady running the b&b were so nice too! It was a shame we didn't get to spend longer there but never mind!
It took about 2 hours for us to get to bondi first as Jamie really wanted to see it. I was so happy as the sun came out so I took him to bondi icebergs (the famous bondi beach swimming pool!) and we had a drink and a little bite to eat there!
It was a nightmare carrying our stupid rucksacks in the heat- i had a strop at one point then realised that wasn't going to really help lol. So from bondi we got a bus to circular quay and then the ferry to manly. I was so excited to show Jamie where I had been living all this time. Eventually arriving in manly we went to the bottle shop and got some beers etc for our BBQ. We actually saw Kathryn waiting for her bus which we needed to get so we waited with her :-)
Finally at their house we dumped our bags then headed off to where we did my "leaving BBQ" the other week. It was Jamie's first ever Oz BBQ! :-D it was nice for Jamie to see it all and experience just what life has been like for me these past few months. We all got on great, had a giggle and I didn't feel as emotional as I thought I was going to be as I was with Jamie now! We also had to rush back so we made the bus on time to get us to the ferry which I guess was good as there was no time for emotional goodbyes!
On the ferry back to circular quay it did feel really sad though. Just taking in the views and thinking how amazing it's been living here made me feel so sad to be going home soon.
We managed to get to circular quay on time and an earlier train so we had no problems worrying about being late for our coach- which we are now on! It's an overnight coach and we arrive in Byron bay at 8am tomorrow. Poor Jamie with his jetlag- I think he managed to feel slightly normal again today but this journey is going to throw him completely :-( and me come to think of it. So excited for Byron bay though! :-D
