We got out early and walked down to Playa Colces in order to watch the surfers as we sunbathed. The weather was perfect for tanning and the sun was gleaming with hardly any clouds in the sky at all. It was however so bloody hot we couldn't lie there for more than 5 minutes without having to cool down in the sea. With the rough waves and rip tides this was no easy task!
Mid-afternoon we returned to Salsa Brava beach; the day had been so relaxing. We still had a litre of rum left from our sailing trip from Colombia, and decided to get drunk and go out for the evening considering that every night is "Lady's Night" in Puerto Viejo so girls drink for free for a stated number of hours. We stated drinking the rum and before long time had got away with us (as had the number of drinks we had consumed) and we ended up extremely drunk before ladies night even began!
Liv and I literally talked without hardly taking a breath for 7 hours straight - after knowing each other for so long it's amazing that we can still manage to do that! We went down to the bar below for our free Jungle Juice and watched the fire show that was going on, but to be honest I was so drunk by that point the whole thing is a complete blur! We sat up chatting until 3 am before calling it a night. That rum went down far too easily... Had to be done when on the Caribbean coast!
