Just a quick update about my first week in the Cook Islands. I arrived here last Tuesday after leaving Auckland on the Wednesday (bit of time travel going on there). The airport was so small and we were greeted by a little old man playing a banjo in arrivals.

I'm staying on Muri Beach which I think is the windiest beach on the island! It was too cold to even sit out because of the wind! It's got much better now though so I'm working on getting my tan back for when I get home.

Last Wednesday was a fancy dress night out where you had to go as something beginning with the letter C. I went as a comic and wore a comic strip pj top I bought in Melbourne. Bit of a cop out but still... There were loads of good costumes though, one guy went as a cupboard, we had a cabbage, christ, chimney sweep, coal miner etc etc.

On Friday I went spear fishing although I didn't actually catch anything so it was more of a snorkelling trip for me. Saw loads of fish though, and many MANY sea cucumbers!

The internets not very good here so I probably won't be able to upload my photos or update again until I'm home which is really, really soon!!!
