After a very early start, we managed to get a flight to Phnom Penh, however as we were both feeling under the weather(Emma a little worse obviously) we wern't all that excited! the taxi took us to hotel on the front which was a little expensive so we decided just to stay for the one night. After a little R & R we got up and out for a little exploration of the city, where both of us were straight away shocked at how poor the people seemed here. As soon as we left the hotel we were confronted by a child of around 6 or 7 begging us for money, as soon as we said no he followed us for about a minute pleading with us and soon changed his tactic by asking us for our jewellery!

After some fruit shakes we tried to head to the silver pagoda, but this failed miserably as our tuk tuk driver had no idea what we were on about!! however he was the friendliest driver we have encountered yet and he just about managed to explain buddhism to us. After a return trip to some tombs we got talking to this tuk tuk driver (named Mr.Sol!!) and arranged for him to pick us up and do a tour with him the following day!

In the eveningwe walked along the waterfront towards the night market, stopping for our first taste of Amok which was in every single way beautiful! after this we headed into the hectic night market and were slightly dissapointed with the stalls and decided to stroll back down the waterfront for an early night to rest for a busier day tomorrow.
