Hello :)Vic and me went to Sanyu Babies Home today, as they asked us to go back with forms we needed to fill in. They've excepted us as volunteers and we start tomorrow! We have to be there by 8am to help get the babies us, bathed, dressed, feed and played with. We'll then help out with laundry, preperation of food, cleaning.. And then finish around 6pm. Hello :) I've been on duty this week at school. The Headmaster only comes to school once in a while, so the person on duty does the weekly report on how school has been, incidents, discipline etc. I'm up at 5:50am to be at school for half 6 to greet all the students with a 'goodmorning' and handshake. And then usually leave school around 6pm. It's a long day, but 2 portions of porridge keeps me going :) It's an interesting week for me as I have to get up and lea...

Today is the 47th Independence Day for Uganda!We have come into Kampala on our own for the first time and so far so good, phew! Madam Emma Roberts has officially been a Ugandan for 1 whole month! :DI feel I've settled into life here perfectly! Collecting water, lighting the fire, washing outside etc it hasn't been a struggle but seemed to come naturally and it doesn't seem to be a chore. Although I really really don't like collecting water, it's so hard :) Living here is extremly cheap! Tomorrow it will be my first month in Uganda! Cannot believe it, it's gone so fast :DWe started school during Term 3, which is the last term of the year. So we've just be thrown in at the deep end, just doing lessons until the term is over. Not really enjoying it unfortunatly. It's just when I teach I want to be able to walk away from my lesson satisfied, knowing my children have really learnt that lesson but it's not the case. We get 2 months break over Christma...
