Arrived Rio and got a taxi to Casa Cool Beans - in Santa Teresa. Very “cool” B&B in a old area in the hills. It is very steep, stairs and cobbled streets everywhere. We settled in and headed out for a local dinner.
Everyone warns about Rio and security. DON’T wear any jewellery, watches, don’t display your cellphone, wallet - basically keep it basic and don’t look like a tourist - who are targets.
