My fourth day in Costa Rica and I´m feeling much better about life :-) I´ve also found an internet cafe where I can upload photos, so check out my photo albums, I´ll be adding to them as I can.
On Monday we had a little orientation session at the language school, and on Tuesday our Spanish classes started. We have Spanish from 8 am to midday everyday, and sometimes there is extra stuff in the afternoon. Our Spanish class just consists of me and Tania and our teacher Abraham (pronounced Abram). The Spanish is going well so far. I can understand a lot more than I thought and trying to communicate myself is...challenging, but quite fun :-) Well, at school and with the host family it is fun - in shops I feel like a bit of a retard :P
Yesterday we had two extra classes in the afternoon. One was a cooking class where we made tortillas. Well, we finally managed to make them with a power cut in the middle :P Then we had a dance class where we did some merengue and samba and some others whose names I´ve forgotten. That was pretty fun when you relaxed into the hip swinging and forgot about feeling like a dick! Both of those classes were both also just Tania and me - it must be quite a small school! Well, it is in a very small town.
Tomorrow we have a class about Costa Rican fruit in the afternoon, and on Friday (which is also Tania´s 21st birthday!) we´re going to San Jose for a bit of an explore, and on Saturday we´re doing a tour around the region, to jungles and volcanoes and waterfalls and such, should be good. We´re going to spend the whole weekend staying in San Jose and come back to Santa Barbara on Sunday. We´re really hoping we can find a room with a hot shower! Ice cold showers are certainly an interesting way to start the day but...
All in all, things are going pretty well, but I´m especially looking forward to being in the hospital in a couple of weeks.
