Arrived in Costa Rica yesterday and settled in with the host family. They are lovely but don´t speak any English but we seem to be managing with our limited Spanish and gregarious hand gestures.The first thing I noticed when we arrived is that all the houses have barred walls around them and some rooves have barbed wire.
