Last night we went to the Angkor Night market, which was nice but full of the same old stuff sold evrywhere else. We then went to a food stall for dinner, verrry yummy. and cheap! We visited Angkor Wat today (by tuk tuk) and it was amazing! Just wish i knew more about it. Afterwards we did a boat trip with the spainards we'd met at the border to a floating village that hasnt yet been discovered by tourists. It was a long tuk tuk journey there and then a long boat ride but it was well worth it! It was all tese houses on stilts metres high and just looked flooded everywhere, we were going past treetops appearing rom the top of the calm water. We made a stop in a floating place that sold drinks, and then we ventured into the local school and i bought some books and pencils. Then went into a classroom full of about 40 kids and handed them out. i will remember the looks on their faces forever. Afterwards we got talking to a 14yrold girl who spoke such good english and she has to go to school from 4am! Then we swapped boats to a much smaller long boat rowed by a 11yr old girl! through the jungle part, absolutely stunning. My best day so far! On the way back in the tuk tuk we went through all the rural villages and all the kids wave an say "hello" i felt like the Queen hehe. Im definately adopting one!
Tomorrow we are getting a 6hr bus to Phonm Phenm (the capital). More adventures start from there. For now we are off to the food stalls for dinner, one last time in Siem Reap.
