Hi to all

Well it has been a few days now and we have been settled in Ko Samui for all that time, hanging out in the sun!

We have not met any wily strangers yet making this blog less ridiculous than some of them up to now, to be honest it is a bit like a holiday resort!

We went on what was advertised as a 3-4 hour tour a couple of days ago only to be stuck in the small van for the entire day, and forced, yes forced to trek up some crazy mountain in search of a waterfall. The guy dropped us off saying we had one hour and it was a 25 minute trek. Now maths is not my stong poit but that does not seem like a lot of time to enjoy the waterfall! It was very beautiful but it was also about 35 degrees so we lost half our body weight by the time we got there. We saw a monkey show and I now have my favourite picture of a monkey sitting on me! (by show i mean the monkey ran up and down the tree once and then i got a picture of hime on me - I personally thought calling it a show could be considered libellous)

We have seen MANY buddhist statues and temples which range from very bautiful to slightly tacky like a buddhist theme park with monks standing aroudn with walky talkies smoking - now this does not seem like behavious fitting of a monk to me!?

Went on boat trip to some beautfiul islands yesterday and did a bit of snorkelling and kaayaking - pictures do not do the place justice, it was absolutely stunning. They also do not do me justice - as my hair was definitely not stunning by this point :)

Spent day today pottering. You will all be pleased to know a lovely woman did our laundry today and i brushed my hair about an hour ago following a shower so things are looking up!!

We leave at about 8am in the morning for another long coach drive so fingers crossed for air conditiong!
