hey sorry i thought i wrote on here last week to tell you about the weekend trip tp the beach.

so yeah that was brilliant fun. all the kids were so excited. we had dancing on the bus, a huge show at a school with all my kids dancing. the children from the deaf school put on a play and also did gymnastics. we had to make a speech at the end becuase we were the white people and therefore important guests!

i had a little girl throw up on me. we ate a HUGE lunch as usual and then they all decide to play on the swings and go crazy. so as soon as we are on the bus...

the beach was such a nice welcome. it was extremely hot, but we couldnt swim in it, it was unlady like apparently, but all the guys could which was so unfair. all the fun was over within 20 mins and we had to go to the temple. which i actually enjoyed. i normally hated them as its boring. but because i had all my friends with me they made it funny and interesting. i now know that you are suppose to shave off all your hair for the god Muruga (the temple we went to) thank god im not a hindu so i do still have my hair :)

i can never remeber what happens during the week at the conservation project it all just merges into one blob. i guess i just packaged more compost, went to market. oh we made american elephant ears (sugary cinammon dough) for our family and it was so funny watching them eat it as they clearly were not enjoying it, but they were forcing themselves to eat it. we also decorated all our feet with henna tubes we bought.

the weekend just gone by i was planning on going to that wedding. wen it actually came down to it i just wanted to stay with the kids, so i didnt go. on the saturday the minister of something, she was a very important person anywho, i was in my sari (freaking out the whole time that i might unravel and be stood there in my underwear) so of course big meal. then i set off fireworks in the evening as i was saying goodbye to everyone at the deaf school. one fell over and luckily didnt hurt anyone but it was very scary. it was so hard saying buy to them, a few of us had a little cry :(

sunday i said goodbye to the kids from the orphanage, more fireworks!! and monday back to the farm project.

theres some discussion group planned with farmers which i have to go to just to be white decoration so that ll be the height of excitment yay
