Today is Christmas Eve! So Christmas for Emelie!
We didn't do much all morning, Xmas-skyped with some people, then got ready to leave the house. Later we were going to have a Swedish Christmas dinner "Julbord", at the Swedish church here in Sydney. So we got a bus over there and checked out the location. We found it pretty easily, but wanted to stay close by. We walked around the area, window shopping and actual shopping. Then we sat in Hyde park for a while and took it easy.
The Julbord was at 6pm, we got there a little bit early, but that was good! Because there were quite a lot of people outside. We were some of the first people in and received our dinners: sausage (prinskorv), ham (julskinka), meatballs, beetroot salad, pickled herring (löksill), a type of potato gratin (jansons), boiled egg with caviar and rice pudding! There was also hard bread (knäckebröd), cheese, saffron buns (lussebullar), ginger bread (pepparkakor) and mulled wine (vinglögg). We can say that were pretty full after that! And as Swedish tradition goes we watched Donald Ducks Christmas Eve in the church!
We finally got som Chritmas spirit with the christmas tree and all the decoration beside Donald Duck!
We left the building with a cosy feeling and we decided to finish the night by grabbing a movie at the cinema. We saw New Years Eve, so now we really looking forward to New Year in Sydney. It's gonna be so amazing!
Merry Christmas everyone, hope you have a wonderful day'
