Around 7am Wati woke us up and it was time for breakfast. We headed to a restaurant nearby where we got ; rice with fish in a currypaste sauce wrapped in banana leaves, a sauce to dip the bread in and a cup of tea. It was really nice!
After this Wati wanted to show us a coffee factory but they didn't have any coffee beans so we drove on to a family that we had met at the wedding yesterday. They had an antique house and we got to taste some real Malaysian cookies, these women do now how bake!!! We tried prawn crackers, onion chips, potato chips, pineapple jam cookies, green pea cake etc etc. Now our stomachs were really full! Their little girl, think she was five years old, danced the traditional Malasyian dance for us. They asked if we wanted to try so Emelie went up to join the girl but she ran away. So we let her continue by herself, maybe it was for the best.
Wati then drove to a village called Kukup where we met a strange boy. He walked towards Emelie and kept saying the same thing over and over again. No one understood a thing, not even Wati. When we passed he tried to stop her and when we had passed by he tried to make her come back, huh? Then we got a boat and went for a trip and got to see a fishfarm. Krista petted a tiger shark ( pictures coming soon) and she also held a seahorse, so cute! Emelie didn't touch anything, wimp! She had left her alcogel at home.
We went back to pack our bags and waited for more food, meanwhile we watched a horrormovie with the girl. As usual the Asian English subtitles made no sense what so ever. Out next meal was rice with fishstew and omelette, again eaten with our bare hands. Swedish Emelie found it difficult since she felt like she was playing with the food. She is too well mannered! We finished the movie and then went to take the bus in Pontian to JB. On the way we stopped for fried banana and a cold Sweet soup made from Coconut milk, kidney beans, brown sugar and ice. The we said goodbye to our dear host and got on the bus.
In JB we took a bus directly to Singapore and then Krista got stuck at passport control behind some really slow people. Emelie had already gone through and waited for here patiently ( for a while at least ). She thought Krista had been captured or that she had passed Emelie and walked away. But hey, 20 minutes later she came through alive. We found a decent hostel pretty quickly, it cost more then we are used to in Asia so we think it's expensive but you guys at home think it's cheap I guess. We pay 80 Singapore dollars/ night and it's like 400 Swedish sek. We took a look around the neighbourhood and it's kinda nice by night. There is a huge market just outside. Now wer'e gonna plan out day tomorrow so that's all from us. Take care everybody!
