7th - 12th july

alrighty our bus for madrid left at 1pm so we had enough time to head to the markets in valencia and pick up some bus supplies like fruit and nuts cause we wieghed ourselves in the market the other day and we have both put on 5 kg, serves us right for eating icecreams everyday and snacking on chips,

arrive in madrid around 7pm, knackered but enough energy to drink, headed to the closest supermarket to buy a coule bottles of wine and walk to an amazing park with some of the busabout crew we had met over the past couple of days. after polishing off a bottle each, we may or may not of landed in the flower beds a couple of times, launching ourselfves in the garden and making fools of ourselves, what we do best i recon. make our way back to the hostel for a late number.

another day feeling sorry for ourselves, venturing out of the hostel to do a quick shop at the infamous H and M. walking around the city, people everywhere and it was time for us to retreat back to the hostel. where our hostel is is perfect view to check out and watch the local hookers every day and night. and try to pick which one has dissapeared.

today was spent checking out the Real Madrid stadium, and i dont think it is any bigger then our own subi stadium, there was a tour around the stadium but i decided i didnt wanna walk through an empty stadium, headed back towards the hostel, past one of the biggest museums in madrid and went inside, lucky for me it was free for EU passport holders so of course, the price was right so i went in and pretended i new what i was looking at. great big museum full of paintings and sculptures that i have never heard of, but it was a cool change to the boiling heat outside. that night was spent with another big busabout crew, lots of food and a good amount of drink down at our local park again, talking laughing and it was cut chort, well i guess it was midnight, but the sprinklers came on, ahahahaha it was the funniest way to end a night.

a sleep in this morning just because we can, then the morning was spent doing some badly needed washing and then q free walking tour around the city of madrid. i never knew any of the history that spain has so it was amazing to learn some spanish culture and history, checking out some major cathedrals and palaces belonging to the royal family of spain, amazing, spoiled ourselves by going out for q delicious dinner for such a good price.

final day in madrid and that was spent at 2 different museums. the first one we found by accident, it was more of a free exhibition on some amazing artist named Mucha i think. the exhibition was in this bizzar building with plants growing on the outside, what a great effect. then after the other museum went to the other side of that huge ark i have spoken about and found the only statue in the world of satan. well it is of the fallen angel which then becomes satan, hard rock cafe to take a silly photo of the bull in the restauant for my favourite sister. then through the shopping mall to see if i could spend or waste anymore money, saw the grossest street performer everm his trick was to put a drill up his nose. aaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhhh dont worry i have got photos of him for you. back to the hostel to pack our bags and another early night watching the hookers outside our window. all in all madrid, not what i expected but sttill an amazing place,
