22- 25th july
up early for another bus ride to venice. beause we had already done this leg of travel before we didnt know if we had a seat on the bus, we go into standby, we will prolly get it alot now that we have done alot of the travels. arrived in venice at the camping ground at around 6pm and stayed in that night, spoke to some of the new busabout friends we had made and decided to call it an early night. made tuna crackers for dinner and went to the most uncomfy beds i have ever slept in. the springs in the top bunk were so saggy and the springs dug into my back. agggghh.
the next day was up early and caught the shuttle bus into town. first impressions of venice was a quiet little town, i think we may if got up and into town before any of the italians were even awake. venice is just like the photos, canals and annoying bridges that you have to go up and down really frequently. venice is definaly a town you ould get lost. not for our directions, we easlily got out of any strife quite easily. there was venicain masks and glass in every shop along every mall and every street is filled with markets. exept it was all the same s*** in every single shop and stall. one mask after the other, at first it was exciting and there was a huge st marks cathedral i think it is, massive. except we couldnt work out where the line finished to go into it, so we dicided not to go in it. markets and more markets later, we quickly had enough of the bridges and tourists everywhere. it is an italian town full of asians and muslems, and of course australians. crazy, couldnt really fine any italians that didnt have a stall there. crazy. that night was once again another infomas toga party. and the celebrations for staceys birthday started early, had 3 bottles of red wine between and that was enough for me to stop drinking so i decided to watch her the rest of the night. 5 shots in a row, all different, i have her 30 mins and then she was absolutly leggless, i dint think i have ever been straight eough to watch how drunk she got!!!! ahahahahaha the funniest thing ever. after i found her without her toga, running around the pub, gave her some water then put her to bed. ahahahahahahaahhahahahahaha hallarious. i stayed up chatting to some more fellow travellers.
that next day was spent laughing at stacey, on her birthday, throwing just about everything she eats back up. ahahaha no sympathy, but at least i got to do some washing and reading. we could of gone back into town but really venice didnt really excite me and i was happy staying out in the camp ground in our bungalow reading. that night went out, maby 20 meters to the restaurant to get some good food into our belly then stacey couraed back to bed. all in all venice was abit of a let down, very repetitive and got over it quite quickly, dont count me wrong or anything i loved the canals and it was very romantic, but only need one day here. great place to visit, happy to leave.
