We have become quite friendly with the Cambodian staff who work here as we have been here so long haha, today after lunch jord got talking to some of them about the local foods which they we're eating, we found one of them very odd- purple potatoe, yes purple! It's bright asif it has been left in food colouring overnight but has a sweet taste too it and is yummy! I wish we could bring some home for everyone, its weirdly amazing! They also make this rice which they must cook in bamboo then to get into it you snap the top and peel the bamboo down and it's stuck together and it breaks off into little bits easily and is soft and tastes really good. It's hard to describe and the only way I can think of is like a banana but with rice! We have now booked to go to Kampot- another smallish town about a two hour journey away more towards Vietnam than we are now. We leave here on the 4th and will stop in Kampot until the 7th as we cannot enter Vietnam until then as our visas don't start until then! Another little adventure on our journey
