Unfortunately we couldn't make our journey to Siem Reep as Jordan became very ill with sickness and a fever. Today we have moved to another guesthouse still in Phnom Penh, we are staying very near the grand palace and can see it from our place! We are staying near a park which has water fountains and exercise classes outdoors,dead in the day then at night the place comes alive! Today was bittersweet. It was one of the best days I have had and learnt so much but also, heartbreaking. We started off at the killing fields, where thousands of people we're killed and buried when the Khmer Rouge regime took over the country. We had just enough money to be able to pay for a ticket each to Phnom Penh, although it meant sharing a small curry for tea and no breakfast! The journey took 11-12hours on a coach which went surprisingly quick as I slept for most of it.
