We woke up today not expecting much from Bern to be honest! But we had an amazing day. Our hotel was right in the centre and was a 5 minute walk from the Old Town, a UNESCO world heritage site. The roads are gorgeous with tall terraced buildings, and shops and bars underground. We walked along the road and saw Einsteins house! Today was stressful!! We have left Strasbourg and arrived in Bern - eventually. Our train had a change in Offenburg. We had an hour wait between them, and a 15 minute delay on top of that. Halfway through the two hour journey the train stopped on the tracks and a man came over the tannoy saying there was a 'technical fault' and we would stop again at the next station where they would try to fix it. In the meantime, an extremely annoying Asian girl has gotten on...
