Bonjour, parlez vous anglais? And merci have got us through the day! This morning we drove from Arass to Reims- the weather was 29•c it was so nice! We walked around trying to find an Avis, but in France shops close between 12-2 and Stay open longer. By the time we found Avis it was closed! We went for a big walk around the town and looked at the monuments and the Notre Dame Cathedral (not the actual one) it was giant, but so beautiful and you were allowed inside! Yesterday when I was walking the strap of my bag completely broke off - I think it was just from wear and tear from being an old
Bag. When we came in to the center of Reims I found a little shop and I bought a new bag! Yay! Now I can say I have a bag from France :) it was only 15€ which is no more than $20. Erin and I also tasted our first macaroon!! It tasted like a chocolate brownie! It was so good! We then drove to Nancy via Metz. For the first time in this trip we stayed up and actually had dinner! It took us so long to adjust! Simon adjusted in one day! We all couldn't stop mid conversation and remind each other where we were eating dinner - it was spectacular! We were sitting in this enormous square lined with fancy restaurants. The buildings were big, beautiful and aged! In each corner there were big black gates with painted gold features and statues! I can't even describe what we got to witness! As it got darker and all the lights turned on it was breath taking! The atmosphere was so vibrant and everyone was so polite and happy. The food was delicious!! When I was reading about Nancy it said quiche Lorraine is their dish, so of course I had to get it. It was hands down the nicest quiche any of us have ever had! Being the first dinner Erin and I were actually eating we treated ourselves and got an entree, main and desert! The menu was all in French, so half the fun of it was trying to pick words on the menu you could recognise and hope for the best! I got the chicken - it was delicious. The girls and I got a bottle of wine - I wish all wine tasted like this. It was beautiful and didn't have that horrible strong alcoholic taste! It was really light and I could have actually had the whole bottle to myself! Everywhere we've been we say it's our favourite place, but Simon and I absolutely loved Nancy and its by far our favourite place!! We're off to Switzerland tomorrow! Au revoir, France!

Aunty Kath You should have liked France because your g, g, g, grandfather was from Metz I think. Your nan's grandfather. I said it for her. Ha Ha
