What a long day!! Erin and I had a lovely start to the day going for a nice
Long walk through London! We all left London for France today. It all started with us missing our bus to Dover, we had to change for the later bus so it was fine - they left every half an hour! The cliffs of Dover we're amazing and there was a big castle on the hill!! We got a p&o ferry to Calais - it was pretty amazing! It was like a cruise ship!! :) when we finally got to Calais we hired our car. We got only had to pay around 497€, which is a lot cheaper than our initial booking!! You can only imagine what happened 100m up the road after leaving.... Yep, Simon mounted the curb and punctured a tyre!! We had to pull over and change it and now we have a mini tyre along with 3 regular ones! It must be hard to get use to, everything is on the opposite side of the road!! We were meant to stay in Reims tonight but we were worried we would be too late so we pulled off in to Arass to find accommodation. It was amazing!! It's like nothing I've ever seen!! It is really old and in this big square it is lined with beautiful looking buildings! We tried so hard to find somewhere to stay and it was all really expensive! After 4 hours of searching we finally decided to drive towards Reims and book the closest hotel no matter what the price. Driving out of Arass we found a motel and it was only 14.40€ each and really nice and clean :) tomorrow we're planning on driving to Reims, Metz and Staying in Nancy! We'll see how our plans go!! I'm so exhausted! I've had to carry my backpack around all day!! Let's see if I can sleep past 5:30am tomorrow!
