I have had the best day! A group of us from the hostel hired scooters and went
on an adventure around Hvar! I went with a girl from the states, Issie and two boys from my dorm, Edward and Giorgio. Hvar is a really big island so we only made it about 3/4 of the way across the whole island! We stopped off at Dubovica and enjoyed the views before hopping back on our bikes! I was so nervous riding my scooter - I've never been on anything remotely close unless a push bike counts! It was so much fun! We rode about 50km out of Hvar and pulled in to a small town on the ocean for lunch! It was beautiful. We sat down and Issie and I shared a pizza and the boys had a pizza each! After a while we hopped back on the scooters and headed back. The boys scooter was running out of fuel and they needed to fill up ASAP. We found a petrol station and pulled in to fill up. There was a big storm coming and it was going to hit any minute! We made the decision to ride to the closet town and take cover! In hindsight we definitely should have waited at the petrol station! Almost straight after we left it started lightly raining, the wind picked up and the rain got really heavy! Little pine leaves were flying off trees and the rain began to hurt!! Issue and I made it to the town and with as much trouble I was having parking my scooter it was no longer an issue!! With adrenaline running I wrenched the bike on to it's stand and ran for cover! After a minute Issie and I realised the boys were no where to be seen! We were a little worried and hopped they made it back safely!! We chose the right town to get stuck in! It was really cute! It reminded me of Venice! It was situated on the water and there was a little island in the middle! The houses were all old and joined. After the storm
Past we hopped back on our scooters and continues our journey back! We stopped in to Milna to see the beach and continued in to town! Before we returned the scooters we filled the tank back up and drove safely to the hostel! No scratches and both the bike and myself were in full piece! :) and relieved that the boys were there in full piece!! They hid under a random house! Apparently they thought they were going to die! Ha ha when I got back I ate my left over pizza for dinner and laid down and read a book! Before I knew it hours had past and I was ready for bed! I'm off to Split tomorrow!
