I am in love with croatia! It is one the most beautiful countries I've been too, along with Switzerland! Everything is so clean, water is crystal clear, hills so green, no matter where you are you can hear the sounds of wildlife and it smells like Christmas - fresh pine! I woke up to a drizzly morning! Which for some reason I absolutely loved! I snuggled up in bed with my book enjoying not being overheated and extremely hot! After a while I had to get up because I had to check out! Myself and another girl in my dorm got woken up to a very disturbing display of affection and sounds that should not be allowed in the company of strangers!! I got the courage and politely said, 'could you please keep it down (pun not intended), we both don't want to be hearing that at 4:30 in the morning! Maybe you could go to another room? AKA shut up and get out - you are disgusting!!! Ha ha - horrible I know but I was very happy when I woke up and he had slept through his alarm and missed his ferry! Karma! Once it was quite again I was drifting off to sleep and the other two got home! Arghhh! It started again! However, this time I witnessed a boy roll on to his side and vomit off the side of his bed! Definitely a down fall of dorms! After I checked out I went down to the kitchen and made some breakfast and read my book waiting for the storm to clear! After an hour or so it was clear skies and the hot sun was out! I decided to walk down to the beach with my book to waste some time before getting my ferry! The beach was really beautiful, tucked away down a small cliff! I sat in the rocks with my feet dangling in the water and relaxed! After a few hours I wandered back to the hostel to grab my left over pizza for lunch and bags and walked down to the port to catch my ferry! It was already there when I got down so I hopped straight on! The ferry was only an hour because I got a speed boat! When we arrived I walked down to the bus terminal and asked where I had to catch the bus from! Without a hiccup I found the bus station and caught bus 60! I carefully followed the instructions I was given but I still managed to get them wrong! I off about 7km too early leaving me with a lovely and stressful stroll along the coast of Split desperately trying to find Hostel Adria! When I finally found it - suprise, suprise! I couldn't find reception!! It was across the road, down a staircase and around a corner! It was a really, really nice hostel! Very clean, the family that run it are lovely and the backyard is literally the ocean! It was at your doorstep! I was taken to my room and I was in a big room with only one other person! I was relieved I got at least one night of quietness! My wishes had been granted :)
