Dear all, Hope this email finds you all well...........i however have had an awful day! Anja and I awoke this morning to find that we were being evicted from our accommodation.........we were greeted by an empty reception area, no staff, and were just told by a little lady that we must leave! Something dodgy has been occuring the past few days as there have been loud arguements in the evenings, lots of slamming doors and raised voices, so we knew something was up, but to say we were not expecting this is an understatement! The sods then tried to charge us over the odds, and Tony our friendly Aussie owner was no where to be seen, all a little dodgy, but i stood my ground and they were exposed to an angry Ellen!!! ha. To top it off, this came at an even more inconvienient time, as Ian the owner of the school arranged me an emergency dentist appointment for this morning as i have been suffering with severe toothache since arriving in Phuket, but decided to get it seen to as soon as possible after another pang during the week.................. Upon arrival at the dentist, i was very impressed as the service was excellent, however the news was not. And i was told i needed root canal treatment, which occurs in either 2 or 3 stages, so part one took place this morning. Apparently, i have small teeth!??!....where most people have 3mm teeth allowing the normal ratio of wear and tear, my teeth are only 2mm....therefore no matter how many times i floss, mouthwash, brush and get check ups i may need fillings, and this particular tooth was in need of root canal treatment. So.....i underwent an hours worth of work, didnt hurt at all, and she was ever so friendly and explained the whole process in lamens terms to me.......but now the anestetic has completely worn off, and as she warned, i am in agony due to only a temporary filling....and will be until Thursday when i go through stage 2 of the process. So, the lovely Ian (possibly the best school owner in the world!!!) then picked me up and took me back to the guesthouse, where Anja had been fantastic and trawled the streets of Patong to find us somewhere to sleep tonight!! So, we are now staying close to our previous guesthouse in a place called Regent 2002. A nice, friendly guesthouse, clean, air con etc, and the room has a phone in it.......so my new contact details for here are...... 0066-76-341664 Room 303. This afternoon and early evening consisted of us transferring our stuff.....so frustrating as we had made the previous room very homely, clothes hung up, food in the fridge etc, but we've moved now, and ive unpacked....yet again.....and just need to go to bed and wake up in a new day.....great day off school this has been!?!! So, this was really to let you know my new contact details, however it has turned into me having a bit of a moan so sorry about that! On a positive note i had my first exam on Saturday and my first official practical lesson with a class of fellow students, and both went well........i think......results from exam are tomorrow....so watch this space for whether it is actually 'AWFUL Sunday AND Monday'......ha ha. Sorry to moan, is just a blip in the Ellens Mini Adventure i suppose, and im sure my next update will be filled to the brim with stories of fun and frolics......now to bed, hot shower, satellite tv, a couple of Nurofen and a fresh clean bed.......school tomorrow and need to be on top form!
