I was sitting patiently waiting for my transport to the mangroves watching someone clearing the bushes of the most enormous caterpillars when he found something else. It was a stick insect with the most beautiful wings - photo does not do it justice.
The trip around the mangrove was great but again I had to feel “lucky “ to be British. There were at least 8 nationalities on the boat and one native English speaker - guess what language the guide spoke. I met a lovely lady from India who had done her masters in Aberdeen and a young man who although born in Syria now lives in Jordan. Aren’t people friendly.
Other creatures seen today - monkeys, crabs (bright red and blue as well as dirty brown) eagles ( two types) water monitors, mud skippers oh and lots of different types of fish.
Ended the day by walking across a bridge between 2 mountains and sympathizing with a girl who dropped her phone over the edge.
