I'm back home in Wales now, and still reeling from Africa! The flight home was horrific, all the pushy, annoying people from around the world seemed to be gathered to Dar es Salaam airport and I don't understand why :( Shout out to the small child who thought it would be fun to kick the back of my chair on the plane for 7 HOURS. PARENTS, PLEASE CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN. AAAAAH.
Anyway, after a month in Africa trying to prepare myself for the worst on results day, and convincing myself I'd failed again, I actually got into university! I'm astonished at my grades, and so unbelievably happy- after sitting in a pit of depression after results day in March, I'd managed to pull the exams I failed up to As and Bs and I can't actually believe it! Now I'm looking forward to my amazing year away knowing that I have a place at uni waiting for me when I get back- yesssss!
I'm leaving for Australia on the 9th of October, which gives me some more time to save money and buy everything I need for my gap year- scary stuff! It also gives me some time to catch up with friends and family before I go away again, which is nice for me :)
This was just a small update, nothing exciting from North Wales now.
By the way- to find all my posts from Africa, click on 'Blog' on my profile and find the 'Select Region' tab. From there you can choose Africa/Europe and in the future any other places I visit! It's good to group my posts into countries so you can keep up :)
