So, my exams are finished, all work is handed in and two weeks today I'm off to Africa! Time to get this blog up and running to tell you all my stories :)
My dad is home for the two weeks, and it's lovely having him around to fix my motorbike and do any jobs I need. I've been so happy, going on holiday with friends and getting my braces off has made me smiley all the time! All our visas are sorted and booked perfect seats on the flights for Africa- my brother is crazy about his planes so he knows the best seats to get (I'm not sure, seems to me as long as you can see out the window all is good!) so I'm crazy excited for it!
My dad won't be staying in Africa for Easter next year- which is when I was planning to go see him. So, I might change my plans to see a bit more of the world, or even just different parts of Africa (thank you for the help Rob, if you're reading this!). Thinking of doing America instead, with the friends I've made from travelling all my life, I could do an awesome tour of the USA and Canada, which is quite appealing! I haven't booked anything, but I know enough people to get me where I want to go around the world- it's a small place but I'd hate to paint it.
I've been proper soppy about finishing college and A Levels, last Friday was a good send-off and I spent the night reminiscing about the good and bad times of the years. I've realised that friends are important, and losing touch from old school friends from simply moving to college really opened my eyes! Tutors are also fantastic to cry to before or after crap exams- thanks guys :)
So, I've got some thinking to do! Will have to get in touch with people and ask about other places to go on my gap year- Australia and Borneo are a definite, but Africa/America is to be decided!
I will definitely keep this updated when I organise things- and spam photos of wonderful Mozambique!
