So, I go to Africa tomorrow! I'm crazy excited and I haven't shut up about it for so long now.

The picture attached to this blog post is what I came here to talk about- I got my 18th Birthday present early yesterday (my actual birthday is 2 weeks today) and my parents got me a Canon EOS Rebel SL1! It's my first fancy DSLR camera and I'm in love with it! I should hopefully get some amazing photos in Africa- especially at the bush camps! I took it on a trip with a friend to Anglesey today and I definitely need some practise (it takes me bloody ages to set up!) but I'm so excited!

Right, I'll stop farting about on the internet now and go and pack- I have a pile of books so far... and we're leaving tomorrow morning...

The next post on here will be from the other side of the world- how crazy is that?!
