Bula everybody! (Fijian for hello!) We arrived in Nadi (the main island) early this morning 13th October at 6 am, after a turbulent and well fed 10 hour flight! At the airport we were greeted by a trio of Fijian men playing guitars and singing traditional Fijian songs which sounded amazing. Our first night in Fiji was spent in a hostel in Nadi, (pronounced Nandi) the main Island of Fiji. Our 6 bed dorm was very simple and clean but we only spent one night there. We have met a local Hindu girl Ramita, who works in a restaurant near our hostel in Nadi. She has invited us round to her house for Diwali, which should be amazing. Nadi is a bustling city and so different compared to the surrounding islands. We spent our first day frantically updating our websites and booking trips and transfers to each island. This is the Youth Hostel we stayed in. We booked to stay at Robinson Crusoe island for 5 nights which was amazing. Love you long time! Emerald!
