Oh ley! We decided to go to Mexico on a one day shopping trip and to see what it was like over there! It took us 3 hours on the freeway as Tijuana is just over the American border. We could actually see Mexicans climbing over the wall that separates the two countries to try to get into America. The shopping wasn't as good as I'd expected, as the majority of the shops filled with souvenires, and jewellery and not much else. Silver and gold and is very cheap over there so we bought some jewellery and of course some tequila, and churos. We chatted to some of the locals who happen to love English girls. They see you are white and they automatically think you have money. So they scarily push you into their shops and won't let you out until you buy something! We managed to haggle with them and got our silver at very reasonable prices. The security on the border wasn't as tight as we thought it was. Our trip to Mexico was very fun.
