Hey all!!

We are currently staying in Hermosa Beach in Los Angeles and we are living right on the beach!! Its amazing and we will update you soon...!!

Hermosa, CA
After spending few nights in Vegas we flew back to reality and LA. After already seeing what Hollywood had to offer (not a lot-just one street, that's it!) we decided we wanted to stay by the sea so headed to Hermosa beach, just down from Venice and Manhattan Beaches. We stayed right on the beach and could see the sea from our room window!
The first day we got our bearings, walked Hermosa Pier and had lunch in one of the pubs that were located on the promenade- An Irish pub with a Mexican menu, Patrick Molloys of Hermosa beach! Was yummy and 2 for 1 lunches can't be passed up! Next morning we got kitted out for the beach-towels, umbrella (don't want our pale skin to be burnt first day. Ouch!) and hit the sand! The weather was fab and was sooo nice to just lie about and do nothing after a hectic few weeks! We got frequented with the local Starbucks, of course and finished the day off with a few drinks!! Thank God, there's no work in the morning!
We had seen a lot of people riding the promenade on these cool bikes called Beach Cruisers so we decided we were champion bikers and hired a couple bikes from the place we were staying (or should I say Rust-buckets-can't believe they survived a 26mile round trip to Venice!). Yes, you heard us right, we rode 26miles that day! Our legs and every muscle felt it afterwards! It was a lot of fun though, the sun shone the whole way- good job we remembered sun cream or we would have been lobsters! Took 2 hours to get to Venice beach along the beach and Marina front, had tasty (and well deserved!) lunch and walked the beach front browsing the shops. Picked up a few souvenirs and then decided to head back to Hermosa. The bike ride back was much easier and we did it in 1 ½ hrs-record breakers!
We thought we deserved a couple of drinks so went to watch the footy at Patrick's and supped a few beers (cocktails for me!). Early to bed that night as we were knackered!!
The last day in Hermosa, we took it easy- the legs were still stiff! Lay on the beach for the day and got all packed up, ready to head to Hawaii!! We were very excited to be going here next and had brought our flight forward a few days so we could spend some more time visiting the Islands of Oahu and the Big Island…Hawaii here we come!!
