I wanted to go to Colon today but I couldn't make it happen so I had to go to plan B.
I was heading to Albrook for breakfast and decided to use the Hop on Hop off bus cos I can go for a few hours today. That would save me the 35cents train fare. The plan was going well but we missed Albrook. They don't stop there on the first trip? I guess it pays to read the brochures they give out. My plan was to have breakfast at Albrook then ride the bus again to Casco Viejo. So I just had to wait a little longer for breakfast.
I missed a great day at the canal. When we went past there was 2 ships in the canal, one lined up waiting and one in the new canal. Typical.
I got off at Casco Viejo and walked around the place. The only place I couldn't get to was the presidential palace. I guess he was home and the young coppers with way too much power weren't going to let me get anywhere near the place.
This arvo I will probably go to Albrook for dinner again, cos there is only Maccas and a dirty chook joint near here.
Tomorrow I fly to Cuba very early so I should be there by early arvo.
