Train Tales
Well, you win some and you lose some.
Dann and I have nice top bunks across the corridor from each other - the larger bottom bunks were all fully booked a few weeks ago already due to it being Divali today.
The beds were nicely made up when we got on, with clean, ironed sheets. There is a pleasing distinct lack of wildlife on the train with us, in contrast to India. No screaming kids or loud conversations in our carriage. Not even any smelly dinner being eaten.
However our carriage's air con is not working and it is like a sauna; for a 12 hour overnight journey. Poo.
Some comfort to be had from a long visit to the restaurant carriage and a slight possibility that it might slowly get fixed, but not ideal.
Night night
LZzzzzzzzz
PS did eventually turn on in the middle of the night so managed to get some sleep. Phew!

Jacqueline This must have been your night train back to KL... Why not Why not tell us something about the Jungle Railway itself..How was this all day journey? was it really through the jungle?? what was the vegetation like? it might have been more interesting than your sauna-like carriage.....
