Pai is situated north of Chiang Mai and it is well chilled. I travelled in a group of nine and we all went a bit crazy on the beers! Greetings all Chiang Mai is the second largest city in Thailand and not as hectic as Bangkok. I arrived at 5.30 in the morning and am staying in the old city near the centre. I've met a friend called Eldad from Israel and Chris - from England. I've already hired a bike and come off it- I had to get some wood and straighten out the carry basket! Krabi is on the main land and is situated north of the Phi Phi Islands. I stayed around Reilly Beach on Ton Soi Beach. Its officailly low season here and I managed to barter a Jungle Hut for 180 Baht a night- 4 quid!. Electricity comes on at 6pm and cuts off at 2am. The best beaches are on the Westside but accomodation is cheaper on the east - this can be sorted by either walking at low tide or Long Tail Boat. Have met some really cool people in this area...
