Krabi is on the main land and is situated north of the Phi Phi Islands. I stayed around Reilly Beach on Ton Soi Beach. Its officailly low season here and I managed to barter a Jungle Hut for 180 Baht a night- 4 quid!. Electricity comes on at 6pm and cuts off at 2am. The best beaches are on the Westside but accomodation is cheaper on the east - this can be sorted by either walking at low tide or Long Tail Boat. Have met some really cool people in this area - Deutsch and Canadians who seemed to find my English slant on life pretty amusing. Anyway, now they are armed with a full array of English insults and sayings to get them by! Lots of climbers come to Ton Soi and try their luck on the cliffs...I will try this the next chance I get. Ive been out on a four Island tour of the area on Longtail boat - one of the Islands was called Chicken Island - yep it had rock that looked like ..a chicken! These Thais sure have imagination! Part of the day was spent snorkelling and dodging football sized jelly fish! Well I say dodge - I got stung on the lip - typical - why couldn't I have been stung somewhere decent like my leg or arm or something? - not my frickin lip! (..but it still didn't stop me from talking ha ha!). I seriously got that "ship wrecked" feeling on these Islands ..I just want to get a spear, hunt fish and enjoy life...add some women and everything would fit into place! ha ha I saw a recording on a lap top of the Tsunami hitting Ton Soi - pretty amazing that it was filmed and that there were no fatalities in this area. I also had the pleasure of walking around Krabi Town with all my backpacks looking for a camera charger as a numpty Thai kindly dropped my bag in the sea! Thus no new pics at the moment for this entry. Im going to buy a new one - I've had enough of flapping my arms around pointing at my camera trying to understand Thai. A Thai on a little rice burner tried to convince me that he could give me a ride with all my backpacks, I couldn't resist the urge to take the piss out of him! I didn't fancy ending this trip early under a truck in a squishy mess! Spure of the moment decision and I'm on an internal flight back to Bangkok - northward bound
