Arrived in Brisbane after only a short bus ride. Nice city, very small compared to Melbourne and Sydney but definitely worth a visit. We stayed in a cool hostel that had a roof top pool and FREE internet (even though there was always a queue). Had a look around the city for the first day, saw some of the main city buildings, shops, the Botanical gardens which were really nice and had a nice lunch in some gardens as the weather has been great everywhere we have been so far!! The next day we took a trip to Southbank just across the river to a man-made beach/lagoon. It was really nice here. Family type of place but it was a weekend and there were loads of markets stalls along the main street and it was so nice to swim in freshwater rather then the sea. After a day of relaxing in the sun we treated ourselves to a $6 steak and watched a live band and headed off to catch the 7.00am bus to Noosa! Really nice city that I imagine could be easy to live in, more personal then bigger cities for sure.
