Arrived in LA, Hollywood after a bit of a nightmare journey. Once I had checked in, in Auckland, I was one of the unlucky 10 people that didn't actually have a space on the plane because it had been over booked. As an alternative they offered to pay expenses at their end (hotel, transport, food) and also at the LA end hostel/hotel wise, plus a wad of compensation money. That didn't sound too bad anyway but they managed to fit me and another younger school...

Auckland, my last stop in New Zealand, stayed with my friend Brigid that I met in Sydney. That was awesome staying in a house and actually having my own room and a lounge area and a nice shower! Lovely. Didn't realyl get up to much, saw the city and did some shopping, cool op and vintage shops! But went out into town which was a nightmare - Auckland people were so ugly! But other then that we just lazed around and I took a look around her area and we went and...

So arrived in smelly Rotorua, but I were slightly out of town so it wasn't so bad. Had a brief look around the city and because it was Easter weekend they had a market by the lake and everywhere was nice and busy which was pretty cool. Bigger then I thought it would be. On Easter Monday I took a day trip to Waitomo Caves and went black water rafting - full on!! I did some of the tubing when in Laos but this was so much worse. I had to abseil down a black cave...

Came to Taupo, was a great afternoon so I played some crazy golf with a few friends - came second which wasn't too bad. Decided to do a volcano walk the next day - oh my god. It was Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings - I did not think that I would actually have to walk up a mountain - thought I was going to die walking up the devils staircase but it was worth it to walk across a massive crater and see some cool, but really smelly, emerald green pools. Very tir...

Well arrived in the capital and decided to have a wonder around. Pretty nice generally. Went to the museum which was good except I got bored of reading about geography, did a bit of window shopping along the cool Cuba Street and went up the cable car to see the great views of the city. The botanic gardens up there were lame but the view was worth it I guess. Didn't do much else, went and saw an awful movie - Black Sheep - will never look at sheep in the same ...
