I still don't have any fireworks pictures from anyone!
Today has been very relaxing. I had a late sleep in to say the least, getting up at 6am! (mountain standard time) My only plans for the day were to hike around Holyrood park and enjoy the vistas as they may come. I went up to Arthur's seat and sat on a smaller hill just south of the seat. Took it all in looking over the Forth of Firth with a surprisingly warm breeze coming off of the water. I could smell the saltwater. What a nice clear day! The gulls were riding thermals all day along the side of the hill. Fantastic. There was the the sound of bagpipes rising up through the valley from a military drill practice below. I laid there basking in the sun listening to Coldplay and (everyone put your cups down and sit down) RELAXING! So relaxed in fact that the following popped out of my pen.
Aloft the thermals flow, in the sun we glow, free to move about.
However we account, for our lives, every nuance, every moment, cannot be captured in tale, we must move.
Aloft the thermals flow in the sun we glow, free to move about and then:
Experience is the tale, of our lives, fully involved, rife with sense, we capture it to live, we must move.
Aloft the thermals flow, in the sun we glow, be free to move about.

Gord. Dan its been 24 hours and no comments? Did you know people from around the world travel to Kathmandu to visit the holy temple of Pashupatinath. During the the festival of Shiva Rati you can sit on the ancient steps and have a toke of Nepal's finest weed. Apparently it is at that moment when you can truly feel at one with the world...until now!!! It seems Dan that you have found Scotland's equivalent!!
dan Oh this was a nice day for sure but still doesn't top the Glen Coe! I'm off to Aberdeen and Banff tomorrow and Wed. Then to the Murray res for a night before we pick up Kim.
