Hello folk! Sorry for not blogging it up yesterday. I ended up on a 12 hour day.
What a day today however. Superb in fact. I was fortunate to have an opportunity to spent 4 or 5 hours at the Scottish Police College located in the Talliallan Castle. The Castle is about 160 years old an has been the training hub for all Scottish Police Forces since 1950.
Inside and out it is steeped in tradition and a real sense of pride. I have included a number of pictures for you to check out. My personal favorite is the 'Peeler', named after Sir Robert Peel, holding the little girl on his shoulder.
The grounds were immaculately groomed and the country air was pungent with the fabulous smell of the local trees. The vegetation from a distance looks similar to home but is actually much more dense and full.
The Castle is just a few kilometres north of the Kincardine bridge. This bridge is the mark of the beginning of the 'Firth of Forth' and the end of the Forth river where it dumps into the North sea at Edinburgh.
Back in Glasgow now for my last night in luxury before the beginning of holidays. I'll be off to Edinburgh in the morning updates to come.........

dan Oh btw. for Gord's benefit........i'm sure everyone else picked up on it. The curtain being pulled back was a reference to 'The Wizard of Oz'. Not whatever red light district connotation you may have had running through your mind. hahaha
Gord Oh btw. for Karen's benefit ....Mr Frisky is a popular name given to cats that are particularly energetic - you'd agree Dan is pretty energetic and not unlike a cat has a habit of landing on his feet. Does a lot of sleeping too mind... As for the curtains being pulled back like in the wizard of oz - waking up and realizing you're not in Kansas anymore? Great Blog Dan keep up the good work!!
