Hi from Port Augusta which is about three hours from Adelaide at the top of Spencer Gulf. We left Peterborough where the last blog was from to travel here and the landscape changed all the way got to look more like New Zealand in places. It was nice to see the sea again after being without it since Melbourne I'm sure I will miss the feeling of being near it as we are used to in Dunedin.
Port Augusta is the gateway to the Nullabor and the Outback and there are lots of caravans etc around here. We went to a great market today and it turned out it was their annual street market day so that was good to be here for that. We are staying at a great spot behind a club where we had a meal and drink last night and will probably do the same tonight.
We went to a place today called the Wadlata Outback Centre a tunnel of time about Australia for millions of years so we learnt a lot it was fantastic.
We are all stocked up apart from bread and milk etc and ready to start off on the real exciting part of the adventure tomorrow to head towards Coober Pedy and Ayers Rock etc both scary and exciting but at least there are lots of other people doing the same thing.
