Gidday mates. Well after 10 fabulous days in paradise it was time to leave Darwin and seek out more exciting new places.
Next stop was Litchfield National Park which we had heard was as good as Kakadu but in a smaller area. On arriving at the much recommended Wangi Falls at noon we quickly found out that all the camping spots were taken but then a very friendly camper flagged us down and offered to share their campsite ( two caravans already there ) with us and that happy hour was at 5pm don't be late! As the temp climbed as usual to 30 deg. a swim in the Falls pool was a must and we both enjoyed 2 hours in this awesome spot along with many others till we got to wrinkly and not wanting to be late for happy hour Headed back the 100m to camp.We could not have meet a more friendly and entertaining bunch and the 8 of us shared drinks, nibbles
and tall stories well into the night.
This part of travelling and meeting so many nice people sharing travel stories and making new friends is enticing us to want to do this full time all the more. Next morning after swapping contact details and wishing safe travels the camp site was down to just 4 of us so after agreeing on happy hour again it was time for another swim before lunch and a lazy afternoon under the awning before another cooling off swim at 4pm. Not much changes here weather wise warm at night and hot during the day, fabulous !
Tomorrow's plan is to head out early and visit all the other attractions that we drove past on the way in and then head into Kakadu National Park.Catch ya then !
