Sth Korea/Japan
The morning started with a visit to Silleuksa Temple, and the day being Buddha's Birthday it was a hive of activity. Lanterns, women's choir, people in traditional costume and many just praying, it was quite a sight. Back on our bikes we headed off along the Namhan River. Another glorious day for cycling. We reached our destination of Chungju mid afternoon and stopped in an eclectic little coffee place, for a refreshing iced coffee and ice cream. The bikes were loaded onto a truck and we then headed 110kms to Sangju where we stayed the night in a traditional Korean hanok. Very thin mattresses on the floor made for an interesting night's sleep.
