Diving!!
Yesterday was amazing! We started with three dives left to complete out advanced. Our first dive was a 30m wreck dive to a new site just of the Koh Toa coast. It was an old navy ship that had been sunk on purpose two days before! That mean it was still fairly cloudy and no fish, but it was still amazing to walk around holding the hand rails, and lie on the side of the boat. Matt had been having some problems with his ears at this point but managed to get down which was nice. All in all definitely doing more wreck dives!
Second dive in the morning was our search and rescue dive. This was fun as well, but not much to see as we were actually learning something! The sad thing was Matt couldn't equalise and he didn't/ couldn't dive!
Our third dive was in the evening! Night dive!!! Best dive ever! Matt managed to dive as well (after dosing up on my maxi sudafeds, thanks mum). Matt has just had to go do a dive this morning on his own so he can qualify as well! We all went down with a single torch after learning some new signals and it was a amazing. So much more life comes out, stingrays swimming along the bottom, barracudas hunting any small fish you shone your light on, fluorescent algae!! Loads. So glad I will be able to do more night dives in the future!
Next step is my rescue divers qualification, basically covers in more depth on our search and rescue speciality. Might look into doing that course further down the line on this trip! All in all loving it. Gonna go look for a mask to buy now, and get some passport photos for my divers ID card!
We're staying on the island for maybe two more days, hopefully will get another dive in. Then maybe going to koh samui or across to phi phi. Think we'll go to phi phi, only really wanted to go to samui because that's where mum and dad has there honey moon!!
